“Preparations for International Yoga Day 2025 have begun with the launch of a cleanliness campaign on May 27, and daily yoga classes are underway for the grand event on June 21. When Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi proposed the idea of yoga at the United Nations, 177 countries agreed to it and today, yoga derived from our land has reached every person in the world. The prime minister has worked to spread the message of yoga all over the world,” the chief minister said in Kurukshetra, adding that the International Yoga Day programme would be “historic and grand”.
Saini chaired a meeting with various institutions for International Yoga Day at the Multi Arts Cultural Centre in Kurukshetra.
During the meeting, Saini urged officials of institutions, NGOs, business organisations, and other organisations to play their role in making the programme successful. He also asked Patanjali Yog Peeth to spread the message of yoga in every house in the city.
The theme of International Yoga Day this year is ‘One Earth, One Health’, while the Haryana government has also added the ‘Yoga Yukt, Nasha Mukt’ slogan to it.
