The perennial parking problem at the Punjab and Haryana High Court is expected to worsen from the second week of February when work on the multi-level parking project begins.

While the foundation stone for the multi-level parking will be laid on February 14 by Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan, the project is scheduled to be completed in nine months.

The period of construction may not prove comforting for those litigants who were already tugging it out with the crunch in parking space in the court premises. The current parking lot in the High Court had been reserved for the advocates, courtesy a decision of the High Court Bar.
