Apna Ghar case: Bail plea of counsellor dismissed

The special CBI court of Najar Singh on Thursday dismissed the bail application of one of the main accused in the Apna Ghar sex abuse case.

The special CBI court of Najar Singh on Thursday dismissed the bail application of one of the main accused in the Apna Ghar sex abuse case.

The court rejected the bail of Veena who was working as a counsellor at the Rohtak-based shelter home,Apna Ghar.

The dismissal came nearly a week after the court denied bail to two other accused,Sushma and Sheela in the case.

All the three accused are currently lodged at Central Jail,Ambala.

As per the prosecution,the three accused had collaborated in the sexual exploitation of girls who were also filmed nude and whose vidoes were circulated.

The CBI in a charge-sheet has told the court that Jai Bhagwan,one of the relatives of the main accused,Jaswant Devi,who was running the nursing home and driver Satish allegedly raped the girls.

It has been brought before the court that the inmates of shelter home were allegedly sexually abused as well as physically and mentally tortured and used as bonded labourers.
