Giving out a strong message,BJP candidate Satya Pal Jain said on Wednesday that no Parliamentary representative from the city has been as helpless as the present one. He also appealed to the people of Chandigarh to vote decisively and get rid of the five year misrule of the Congress party. Jain also criticised the Administration claiming it was acting like a property dealer. Addressing public meetings in Sector 40,18 and 26,Jain said he is committed to the all-round development of the city. He also led a padyatra in Sector 30 and went from door to door seeking votes. In the evening,he visited the Sector 34 market and furniture market where he was weighed against coins. In a public meeting held in Sector 40,Jain said the job-oriented industry will be encouraged and new projects brought in if he is voted to power. Southern sectors will be developed at a par with the northern sectors and facilities like banks,post offices,parks and bus queue shelters will be provided. To ensure better facilities to government employees,Chandigarh will be given Class A status and all necessary steps will be taken to improve the law and order situation, Jain said.
