The court ordered to release the passports of the acquitted persons, who submitted their personal and surety bonds. While Sukhbir already had his passport, which the court had released earlier on granting him permission to visit abroad,Nirbhjit’s passport was released from the local court. All the acquitted persons had furnished personal bonds on Friday itself immediately after the court had ordered to acquit them.

The court had asked them to furnish the same as an undertaking to appear before the higher court, where if the court verdict is challenged at any later stage.
