Abhishek’s knock helps Satluj Stunners win title

Riding high on Abhishek’s unbeaten knock of 63 runs,Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy recorded a facile eight-wicket win over Hoshiarpur-based Super Cricket Academy,in the final match of the Under-15 Generation Next Cup cricket tournament held at Government Senior Secondary School,Bijwara,Hoshiarpur.

Batting first,Super Cricket Academy posted a total of 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 overs. Shubham batted well during his knock of 25 runs while Mayank chipped in with 21 runs. For Satluj team,Kamaljit Singh (2 for 16),Shubham Sheokand (2 for 14) and Nehal Pajni (2 for 24) were the main wicket takers. Satluj bowlers bowled well to curtail the opposition team below the 150-run mark. In reply,Satluj Stunners achieved the target for the loss of two wickets in 18.5 overs. Abhishek emerged as the star for the Satluj outfit. He played a wide array of shots during his unbeaten knock of 63 runs. The Satluj team was also propelled by Saurav Kumar,who scored run a ball 50 runs. Abhishek was declared man of the match for his match-winning knock.
