CLTA trainee Eklavya Singh displayed tremendous endurance and skills to beat Calvin Golmei in a three hours 50 minutes marathon match in the boys under-16 singles category by 4-6,6-4,7-5 and surged ahead in the CLTA-AITA Super Series tennis tournament in Chandigarh. In another keenly fought match,Raghav Jaisinghania prevailed over Anshuman Srivastva by 7-5,4-6,6-0 to record the triumph. Also,Digvijay Pratap Singh defeated Sultan Singh Atwal in a match that lasted three hours 5-7,6-2,6-2. Then Tolam Mingky beat Shramay Dhawan by 4-6,6-4,7-5 in another over three hours encounter. In another three-setter match Ankit Rao overpowered Paras Dahiya by 6-3,3-6,6-3. In U-13 boys singles match, Akshit Chhabra got the better of Anish Lal by 2-6,6-2,7-6 (5) to move ahead. Nishant Dabas drubbed Mohd. Iqbal Khan by 7-5,3-6,6-3. In the girls U-12 section,there was one match that lasted over three hours in which Mansi Singh beat Rahan Mangat by 5-7,6-4,6-2. Meanwhile,CHART trainee Vikrant Dahiya had an easy one- sided first set against Dahish Ahmed 6-0. In the second set Danish gave some tough fight but Vikrant used all his experience to close out the match at 6-4. The U-14 National champion and CLTA trainee,Sumit Pal Singh outclassed Nishant Kumar by 6-2,6-2.
