A day later, helplines for CBSE still ringing

With Class X CBSE results being declared on Wednesday, the counsellors could be seen busy attending queries on the helplines.

With Class X CBSE results being declared on Wednesday, the counsellors could be seen busy attending queries on the helplines. There has been a variation in both the number and nature of calls received prior to and after the results. Earlier, the students were concerned about when the results would be declared. Now that it is out, they are concerned about re-evaluation,re-appear,admissions in Class XI and which stream to choose depending upon their CGPA score.

While some are asking whether they will get admission in the desired schools, others are inquiring if their answersheets can be re-evaluated. Also,if they have managed to clear their compartment, what would be the assessment criteria.

“This year, students have received report cards in an entirely new format — with evaluation of performance of both Classes IX and X. Thus, they were not very clear about the evaluation criteria. From yesterday,I have been receiving calls pertaining to this,” said Dr Rakesh Sachdeva,CBSE counsellor and Principal of DAV Model School,Sector 15.

“The number of calls received within 24 hours prior to the declaration of result was around 50. It must have been same for other helpline numbers as well. At the end, even the counsellors were exhausted from replying to the same query of when the result would be declared,” said Madhu Bahl,a counsellor and Principal of KBDAV-7.
