The 15-year-old daughter of Sonu Parshad, who was finally found three years after she went missing, has alleged that her first employer Sukhbir Singh attempted to molest her. Sukhbir and his servant are already facing a criminal trial for allegedly abducting her.

The 15-year-old recorded her statement with Mohali Crime Branch and alleged that Sukhbir and his servant had attempted to molest her. Following this, the Crime Branch got her medical examination done and are awaiting reports.

“We sent her for medical examination and are waiting for the reports. We shall proceed accordingly after the result of the medical examination,” said Crime Branch Deputy Superintendent of Police Vibhor.

The Amritsar police to settle an abduction case,as first reported by this newspaper, tried to foist a 13-year-old girl on Parshad early this year as his missing daughter and even tried to convince the Punjab and Haryana High Court with its affidavit that read: “… body structure of the girl has changed in two years, that is why the father has not been able to recognise his daughter”.

But a DNA test and numerous hearings later,it proved Parshad’s claims that the girl was not his daughter.

The girl was found last week from the house of one V Rajshree at Janakpuri in Delhi, where she was working as a domestic help.

The girl has also recorded her statements before a magistrate in an Amritsar court on Friday after which she was handed over to Parshad,a daily wage labourer from Amritsar. The girl was missing since April 2008.

Also, the accused in the case, who were in police custody with Crime Branch, were remanded in judicial custody.

Parshad had accused Amritsar police of aiding the employers of Pooja and also accused them of threatening him and even offering Rs 10 lakh to withdraw a case of abduction registered against the employers.

Following the petition, the High Court handed over the investigation of the case to Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh in July this year.
