Car stunts on Vadodara road: 2 college students arrested, 3 minors let off
The video is said to have been filmed on August 15. In two of the three cars, the occupants are seen trying to perform stunts emerging from the windows as the car continues to zig-zag along the road at high-speed.
The accused have been booked under Indian Penal Code Section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) along with sections of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
Vadodara city police Thursday arrested two college students and let off three Children in Conflict with Law (CCL) with a warning after a video of three cars performing high-speed stunts on Waghodia road went viral on social media. Two accused, identified as Om Pandya and Deep Trivedi, have been arrested for rash driving.
A video of the “stunt” filmed from a moving car by an unidentified person went viral on social media prompting the police to swing into action. In the video, the cars were seen driving on Waghodia road at high-speed with the national Tricolour attached to the windows.

Vadodara city Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Panna Momaya told The Indian Express that the police identified the cars and seized them. “We have detained one car and arrested two accused. Three others who were travelling in the car turned out to be minors. We let them off with a warning. However, the car belongs to the parent of one child in conflict with law. We have detained the vehicle,” DCP Momaya said, adding, “We are zeroing in on one more car that was performing dangerous stunts,” he said.
