ACB nabs Dahod DEO for taking bribe of Rs 10,000
The complainant had reportedly approached the DEO for a no-dues certificate in a case pertaining to the pension of the employee. Dave allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 to sign the certificate.

The District Education Officer (DEO) of Dahod was allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on Thursday.
According to Dahod Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials, DEO Kajal Dave was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 from the complainant, who is a retired employee of the department. The complainant had reportedly approached the DEO for a no-dues certificate in a case pertaining to the pension of the employee. Dave allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 to sign the certificate.
The complainant then approached Dahod ACB, which set up a trap on Thursday. According to ACB officials, Dave was caught accepting the bribe from the complainant in her office. Dave’s arrest comes at a time when the SSC students of GSEB are appearing for the annual board exams. The district authorities have appointed District Primary Education Officer Mayur Parekh as the incharge DEO.
