A 26-year-old West Bengal native working in east Bengaluru was, on Thursday, stabbed to death allegedly by his colleague in what might have been a robbery attempt.
Police found multiple stab wounds on the body of Subhash, who worked as cashier in the Citadel Hotel, when they arrived after being informed around 6 am. Police found that cash was also missing from the hotel and the killer had destroyed CCTV recordings.
Investigation revealed that Abhishek, a maintenance staff member of the same hotel, was missing.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear, according to the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Bheemashankar S Guled said, “We suspect robbery could be the motive. A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused and teams have been formed.”
