Union Railway minister DV Sadananda Gowda’s son Karthik Gowda who obtained anticipatory bail earlier this week appeared before the R T Nagar police on Friday for questioning in connection with a case where he has been accused of cheating and rape by a Kannada film actress he was involved with in an affair. The railway minister's son was subjected to a marathon interrogation session in connection with the rape and cheating case brought against him by actress Maithreya Gowda. Karthik Gowda was involved in a relationship with the actress before recently breaking off ties to get engaged to a girl chosen for him by his parents. Maithreya Gowda had filed the rape and cheating case against Karthik Gowda on August 28 day shortly after he got engaged. The actress claims to have married the minister's son. Karthik Gowda was granted anticipatory bail by a city civil and sessions court on Monday and was directed to appear before the police for investigatons. The RT Nagar police asked Karthik Gowda more than 80 questions based on their findings in preliminary investigations and from statements of the victim.
