According to officers, the incident took place on October 21, around 3 pm, when Vishnu was at a temple in Bidar’s Naganpalli village.

As per the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Chintaki police station, officers received information about a man being tied up and assaulted in the village. Upon arrival, the police found that Vishnu had lost consciousness and had sustained multiple injuries. He was initially rushed to Chintaki Government Hospital and later transferred to Bidar BRIMS Hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries.

In her complaint, Vishnu’s mother Lakshmi, 40, stated that her son had been in a year-long relationship with the woman who was married. She had reportedly left her husband to live with Vishnu, and her family was aware of the relationship. However, three months ago, she returned to her parental home in Naganpalli, officers said.

The murder allegedly took place when Vishnu visited Naganpalli with two acquaintances to meet the woman. While at the Hanuman temple, the woman’s father and brother reportedly confronted him. They dragged Vishnu outside the temple, tied him up, and brutally assaulted him with sticks, officers added.
