Karnataka Lokayukta finds Rs 35-crore unaccounted assets during raids on 13 officials
The Lokayukta raids were conducted at 62 places in Karnataka and 130 police officers were involved in the operation.

The Karnataka Lokayukta police said they conducted raids on 13 government officials’ premises and unearthed unaccounted assets worth Rs 35.83 crore on Wednesday.
According to the Lokayukta, the raids were conducted at 62 places and 130 police officers were involved in the operation.
Assets worth a staggering Rs 11.13 crore were found with Nagarajappa, assistant director for town planning of the Magadi planning authority in Ramanagara district. The assets are a site, six houses, 13 acres of land valued Rs 10.37 crore, Rs 11.50 lakh in cash, ornaments of Rs 25 lakh and vehicles worth Rs 40 lakh.

Raids at five places belonging to Ranganath SP, chief engineer of BBMP Yelahanka zone, threw up Rs 5.28 crore’s worth of unaccounted assets. These include two sites, two houses, two commercial complexes, 2.5 acres of agricultural land valued at Rs 6.15 crore. Rs 7 lakh in cash, ornaments worth Rs 31.86 lakh, vehicles worth Rs 36 lakh and Rs 24 lakh in fixed deposits were also found.
