The Bengaluru police said Monday they have arrested two former contestants of Bigg Boss, the Kannada reality show, allegedly for displaying weapons in a clip on social media.

Rajath Kishan and Vinay Gowda, both residents of Bengaluru, were arrested by the Basaveshwara Nagar police after initially being served notices to appear before them. “Initially, they were detained following the notice, and arrest procedures were initiated on Monday evening,” a police officer confirmed.

The police filed a suo motu FIR on March 20 based on a complaint from the police station’s social media monitoring cell. According to the complaint, a reel video was uploaded on Instagram under the handle “bujjjjii,” showing Kishan and Gowda wielding a machete, posing for the camera, and walking in public.
