Bengaluru-Varanasi flight forced to land in Hyderabad, all passengers safe
The Varanasi-bound IndiGo Flight 6E897 made an emergency landing at Hyderabad's Shamshabad Airport at 6.15 am.

A flight from Bengaluru to Varanasi was forced to land in Hyderabad early Tuesday due to a technical problem, but all passengers are safe.
The Varanasi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Telangana’s Shamshabad Airport at 6.15 am. All 137 passengers who were onboard are safe, said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
“IndiGo flight 6E897 from Bengaluru to Varanasi was diverted to Hyderabad as a precaution. The pilot noticed a technical issue and diverted to Hyderabad as a precaution”, Indigo said in a statement, as per the news agency PTI.
The airline said an alternate aircraft was provided for the passengers to be flown to Varanasi, it added. Currently, IndiGo said the aircraft is undergoing necessary inspection at Hyderabad.
