The Bengaluru police Monday took up a case after a video surfaced wherein a rowdy sheeter can be seen forcing a person to strip, beating him, and then making him run on the road.

Although the incident reportedly took place a month ago, the video went viral only recently.

The suspect has been identified as Pawan Gowda alias Kadubu. The victim in the case also has a criminal past.

The police said the victim did not file any complaint till Monday but they have suo motu initiated a probe. Prima facie the motive appears to be personal enmity, they added. No arrests have been made in the case yet.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced its first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, with its state unit chief Raju Tiwary and leader Hulas Pandey among the nominees. As per the seat-sharing arrangement, LJP (RV) will contest 29 seats, while BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each. The remaining 15 candidates will be announced soon.
