With the Karnataka Assembly polls round the corner, political parties have started bringing in the big names to campaign for them. In a similar move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Bengaluru on Friday to take part in events linked to the police and the co-operative sector.
As such, if you are planning to go out today, the Bengaluru traffic police have issued a traffic advisory that you should keep in mind.
Restrictions have been imposed on traffic movement between 12 pm and 4 pm on the Old Airport Road, Mysore Road, N R Road, Nrupathunga Road, Sheshadri Road, Palace Road, Race Course Road, and the Kengeri to Kommagatta Road.
“Arrangements have been done to ensure free and smooth flow of traffic. The road users are requested to avoid the roads between 12:00 P M to 04:00 P M on 24/03/2023,” says the traffic advisory.
Apart from this, the movement of light, medium and heavy goods transport vehicles is restricted between 6 am and 4 pm from Town hall to N R Road, and towards Mysore Road; from Nayandahalli towards City and towards Kengeri; Kumbalagodu to Kengeri (towards City).
The goods vehicles have been advised to use Lalbagh Road-Hosur Road–Nice Road, instead of N R Road to move towards Mysore Road.
Goods vehicles moving towards city from Nayandahalli junction can use Nagarabhavi and Sumanahalli Ring Road.
Goods vehicles moving towards the city from Kumbalagodu and Kengeri can take NICE road, according to the traffic advisory.
