3 men follow Sudan student, rob him of money and flee with his motorcycle at night in Bengaluru

Out of fear, he rode away but lost control of the motorcycle and fell off because of nervousness, around 1 am. The three men, who had been following him, allegedly caught hold of him, took him aside, and snatched his mobile phone and motorcycle key. They shouted at him asking what else he had.

As he had nothing else, the three men allegedly transferred Rs 11,000 from his digital wallet using his phone.

After the men fled the spot with the student’s motorcycle, he sought public help to contact the police.

The police arrived at the spot, took the student to a hospital, and later registered a case of robbery at the Sheshadripuram police station based on his complaint. They relied on CCTV footage and the digital wallet ID of the transaction to identify and arrest the robbers.

The police identified the arrested men as Philps George, 29, Vikram, 25, and Ajith, 29—all residents of Bengaluru.

The police seized two two-wheelers, including the one belonging to the students, four mobile phones, and Rs 11,000 from the arrested men.
A court has remanded the three men in judicial custody.
