His aim was not to do just well in his HSC science exams; neither did he want to just top his school,Ashish Patel, son of a clerk who works with the local branch of Bank of Baroda, had just one aim to see his name in the list of city toppers. And,when results were declared on Thursday, his dream came true.
Patel,a student of Vidyut Board Vidyalay, had his aim clear that he wanted to repeat the success, which he had tasted two years ago in his SSC exams. Patel, who stood sixth in the city merit list in HSC science stream, was the state topper in the SSC exams.
The icing on the cake for Patel, who scored 100 in Maths,99 in Chemistry and 98 in Physics,is his GujCET marks, that is,100 per cent. He wants to pursue electronic engineering. Though he could not make it to the state merit list this time,it is hardly an issue. There is no problem for him to get through any of the colleges, said Ramesh Patel, his father.
