Salesman killed in hit-and-run case in Rajkot
According to an FIR registered at Gandhigram police station, a car rammed the motorbike of Mayur Tanna (35) on Ramapir Chowkadi flyover bridge at 4:30 am Sunday killing him on the spot.

A salesman was killed after a luxurious car hit him on the Ramapir Chowkadi flyover bridge on 150-feet Ring Road in Rajkot in a case of hit-and-run in the wee hours of Sunday. Police said the car driver fled the spot after abandoning his vehicle.
According to an FIR registered at Gandhigram police station, a car rammed the motorbike of Mayur Tanna (35) on Ramapir Chowkadi flyover bridge at 4:30 am Sunday killing him on the spot. Mayur was working as a salesman for various firms. His mangled bike was found nearby while the partially-damaged luxurious car was found abandoned further ahead on the road. One of the vehicle registration plates of the car was found lying near the body of Mayur, the FIR quotes the victim’s younger brother Hardik as having stated.
Mayur, who was unmarried, used to live with his parents and his younger brother’s family in Golden Portico Apartment near Madhapar in Rajkot.
Based on Hardik’s complaint, the Gandhigram police have booked the driver of the car under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304A (causing death by negligence) and under Sections 177 (punishment for dangerous driving), 184 (dangerous driving) and 134 (duty of driver in case of accident and injury to a person) of the Motor Vehicles Act.
