S P Chaudhary to assume charge as District Education Officer

The former Primary Education Officer of Ahmedabad district,S P Chaudhary,will assume charge as the District Education Officer of Vadodara from Monday,following the abrupt transfer of R K Patel to Dangs over corruption and bribery charges.

Chaudhary said,“I have been involved in the primary education set up for the last two years and would like to bring transparency and efficiency in the system.”

He,however,denied any knowledge about the allegations against Patel.

On Thursday,Patel was a sent a notification that he was being transferred to the Dangs district. The decision was taken in the wake of numerous complaints against him.

Raopura MLA Yogesh Patel had accused Patel of corruption and bribery.

He had also been accused of illegal appointment of teachers.
