Padma awards for five from Gujarat

Five prominent personalities from Gujarat have been conferred with the prestigious Padma awards this year.

Five prominent personalities from Gujarat have been conferred with the prestigious Padma awards this year. Noted danseuse Kumudini Lakhia and Mallika Sarabhai have been awarded Padma Bhushan along with Madhusudan A Dhaky in the field of arts.

Prof Pucadyil Ittoop John of the Institute for Plasma Research,Gandhinagar has been awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of science and engineering.

Karsanbhai Patel of the Nirma Group has also been awarded with the Padma Shri.
