The city registered its 12th death due to swine flu on Saturday. Kiran Patel (48),from Ranoli,was admitted at the Global Baroda Hospital on January 9 after he had fever for several days. His swab sample was sent for further medical verification and the patient was confirmed to be positive case of H1N1 flu.
Patel was later shifted to the isolation ward of the hospital. But doctors at the hospital had said there was no improvement in the patients situation despite medication. Patel succumbed to the H1N1 flu today. Two more patients,including a seven-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl,have been tested positive with swine flu at Sir Sayajirao General Hospital.
