Mumbai dabbawalas to give management tips to industrialists

“The industrial and business units in Rajkot still have a traditional set up. The owners of these units rely more on family members than management executives. In such a scenario,self-learning plays an important role.

And,this is where management lessons from self-made groups can help,” said Bhavesh Patel,the REA president.

Rajkot has been a hub of diesel engines and lathe machines.

The city has started getting recognition as a major centre for machine tools,plastic products and automobile parts.

“The city has resources,infrastructure and labour to create right atmosphere for industry’s growth. The new generation has formal education in management but the founders,who still manage the show here,can learn a lot from practical examples,” said Patel.
