The Ahmedabad City Police issued two notifications on Saturday for extended road and bridge closures due to delays in the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor bullet train project. The two notifications were issued by the traffic police and signed by JCP (Traffic) NN Chaudhari. In the first case, bullet train work is going on between Sabarmati and Vatva where segments are being put up on pillars. These segments need to be put up on pillars at the Cadila bridge, the work for which has been ongoing since April 6. However, due to technical reasons and railway schedule, this work could not be completed. The work will continue till November 15. As a result, the BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) corridor will be unusable. The BRTS buses will ply outside the corridor while at night, normal traffic will be allowed on the side of the bridge where work is not underway. In the second case, a bullet train station is being built in Saraspur, so the construction of a pillar is planned there. A 25-metre stretch of the road has been closed. Earlier, a diversion had been given for the same but the work was not completed on time which will now take three more months. This road between RC Technical Institute to Faizan School, a stretch of 500 metres, will be closed for traffic. Vehicles coming from Faizan School can go towards the railway parcel office to the gurdwara, onto the Hanjar cinema metro station. Vehicles coming from Kalupur Metro Station can go towards the gurdwara in Saraspur and head towards Faizan School.
