Man kills wife,son; commits suicide

Investigating Officer,Inspector Y R Gamit,said: “We have learnt from our preliminary investigations that Prajapati was depressed. But as to what led him to take such an extreme step is yet to be investigated. The neighbours have told us there was no family dispute or issue of poverty. The cause can be confirmed only after further investigations.”

Sources said that Prajapati used to work in Airtel but was jobless for the last 15 days. But whether he lost the job or left it on his own will is not known. He apparently moved to his father’s house in Kalapinagar and then came to stay in the shanties of Meghaninagar.

The note said the entire family was tired of life. But as his wife was not ready to commit suicide so he killed her,said sources.

Prajapati’s note said no one else was responsible for the murders and his suicide,and he requested others in the family to take care of his old parents.

The police said the family had come to stay in Revaji Gopalji ni Chali only 20 days ago. Gamit said: “The parents of both Girsh and Bina have been called for further investigation,to check out further possibilities .” Further investigations are on.
