Man from Bharuch dies 18 days after he was set ablaze at home
Bharuch B division police then lodged a complaint and started a probe.

Eighteen days after a 23-year-old was set ablaze at his house in Bharuch, he succumbed to severe burn injuries at a private hospital where he was undergoing treatment, said officials.
Kishan Vasava (23) was set on fire at his home on March 18, as per police, by a man who was allegedly cheated by his aunt and others of Rs 1.65 lakh. Kishan was rescued by neighbours and hospitalised.
Bharuch B division police then lodged a complaint and started a probe.
On March 21, the accused identified as Dilip Solanki, a resident of Jamnagar, was held by police. During interrogation, he alleged that he was duped by Kishan’s aunt Sheela and others on the pretext of marriage. He allegedly ended up losing Rs 1.65 lakh after he married a woman named Kanchan who was introduced to him by Sheela at Kishan’s home.
Dilip also claimed that Kanchan abandoned him within 10 days and Sheela or others refused to return his money or help him.
Bharuch B division police Inspector S C Kultariya said, “We have added murder sections in the case against Solanki. Dilip had lodged a complaint against five including Sheela, Kanchan and three others who had cheated him to the tune of Rs. 1.65 lakh.
Dilip wanted to teach a lesson to Sheela and for that he went to the place where he had first seen Kanchan. Dilip thought that it was Sheela’s house and he went to take revenge. In the cheating complaint lodged by Dilip, nobody has been arrested so far by police but our teams are on the hunt for these women and others.”
