Gujarat to soon have Regional Vibrant Summits to ensure towns and villages also become partners in industrial growth: CM
“I am confident that these summits will help Gujarat set a new direction for the country in futuristic industrial development,” Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said in his message to the people of the state on Independence Day eve

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday announced that Gujarat will soon launch a new initiative – of having Regional Vibrant Summits to ensure that “our towns and villages also become partners in industrial growth”.
The CM made the announcement on Thursday in his message to the people of Gujarat on the eve of 79th Independence Day.
In his message, the CM said, “To make Gujarat shine on the world map in trade and industry, our respected Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) initiated the tradition of the Vibrant Summit. Now, to ensure that our towns and villages also become partners in industrial growth, we will soon launch a new initiative — Regional Vibrant Summits — in the coming months.”
He further said, “I am confident that these summits will help Gujarat set a new direction for the country in futuristic industrial development.”
The CM said that the Gujarat government is celebrating the current year as Urban Development Year to make the state’s cities smart and sustainable.
In this context, he said, “In the coming years, Gujarat’s cities will host national and international sporting events, and as part of this preparation, world-class sports infrastructure is being developed in our metropolitan areas.”
Referring to a number of other initiatives and schemes of the state government, he said it is committed to the principle of welfare, development and prosperity for all under the guidance of PM Modi.
The CM asked the people of Gujarat to take a pledge “to dedicate our body, mind, and resources to building a Viksit Gujarat as our contribution to Viksit Bharat 2047.”
He said, “Friends, this year’s Independence Day holds special significance for us. In 1960, Gujarat was established as a separate state from the erstwhile Bombay State, and in 2035, a decade from now, it will complete 75 years. It is our resolve to elevate the magnificent structure of development built in Gujarat by PM Modi to new global heights by the time Gujarat marks its 75th year. Before India completes 100 years of Independence in 2047 and celebrates its centenary of freedom, Gujarat will have a major milestone to mark.”
