(Representational Image/Express Archives) Amid heavy rains in Gujarat’s Vadodara and the subsequent flooding of railway tracks, the Western Railway (WR) has cancelled at least 48 trains up to August 31. Due to heavy rains in Saurashtra, especially Morbi, 20 trains on August 29 and 30 have been cancelled by WR’s Rajkot Division.

Meanwhile, the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapu-ram Rajdhani Express will run via an altered route through Nagda-Ujjan-Sant Hirdaram Nagar-Khandwa-Manmad-Igatpuri-Kalyan and Panvel.
According to the information, 14 trains short terminated while six short originated and 23 were diverted. Meanwhile, the IMD has warned of intense rainfall over the next five days across the state.
