Rainfall likely in Gujarat’s southern districts till Oct 24: IMD

On Monday, a forecast of light to moderate rain accompanied with thundershowers is expected in the districts of Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad along with the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Bhavnagar.

As rainfall occurred at a few places over south Gujarat region on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall for southern districts from October 20-24.

On Monday, a forecast of light to moderate rain accompanied with thundershowers is expected in the districts of Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad along with the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Bhavnagar.

The maximum temperatures at most of the stations have witnessed a rise on Monday as well. Ahmedababd recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius, Kandla 37.2, Rajkot 37, Surat 36.7, Bhuj 36.6, Naliya 36, Porbandar 36.2, Deesa 36.9 and GAndhinagar 34.2 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature was between 25.7 degree Celsius in Surat and 18.4 degree Celsius at Amreli, the IMD said.
