Gujarat approves Rs 1,478 crore industrial investments under Incentive to Industries Scheme, 4,136 jobs to be created
According to the official release, the 22 units’ investment include Rs 383.91 crore in the metal, paper, food-agro, and cement-concrete sectors in Ahmedabad district.

Gujarat Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput, during a meeting on Wednesday approved applications of 22 units with a total investment of Rs 1,478 crore under the Incentive to Industries Scheme, according to an official release. Under the scheme, the approved units are eligible to get certain assistance from the state government.
The units are expected to generate around 4,136 new jobs. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of the Industries and Mines Department Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department Sanjeev Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Labour and Employment Department Vinod Rao and Industries Commissioner P Swaroop among others.
According to the official release, the 22 units’ investment include Rs 383.91 crore in the metal, paper, food-agro, and cement-concrete sectors in Ahmedabad district.
The investment includes Rs 227.77 crore in the metal sector in Kutch; Rs 218.88 crore in the chemical and ceramic sectors in Bharuch; Rs 55.23 crore in the paper sector in Mehsana; Rs 167.70 crore in the ceramic, metal, paper, and textile sectors in Morbi, according to the official statement.
In the metal sector in Rajkot, the investments worth Rs 36.22 crore will be done; Rs 359.47 crore in the chemical, plastic, and paper sectors in Valsad; and Rs 29.53 crore in the paper sector in Surendranagar district.
