While appreciating officials for successfully hosting events related to the G20 summit, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Friday said the state could easily attract big events. “We have all seen that Gujarat has made good arrangements for G20 events. Other states could also have done well, but we need to further the image that has been built for Gujarat,” Patel said during an address in Gandhinagar. “Gujarat hosted the National Games and preparations were done in just three months. We can easily form management teams. We can even start a new department,” he said jocularly before adding, “When everybody expects good things to be done in a short-time, big events from across the country can be given to Gujarat. It can be considered as an achievement.” AAP's Rising Star Dediapada MLA and AAP working president Chaitar Vasava has figured on the list of star campaigners of the party for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. Notably, he is the only Gujarat AAP leader among the 37 star campaigners, most of whom are national leaders. Vasava, who is being closely watched by the rival political parties as a tribal leader to reckon with, recently concluded a yatra from Dandi to the Sabarmati Ashram, raising the issue of Gyan Sahayaks. He is known not to mince words and yet tread cautiously when required.
