Jaimin Thakar, chairman of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) Standing Committee, has convened a meeting of the panel at Ram Van - an urban forest themed on Ramayana - on Wednesday. Thakar told mediapersons that he will keep the meeting open to members of the public as well so that "they can see for themselves how their taxes are used for public purposes". Usually, such meetings take place in the Standing Committee meeting room in RMC headquarters.
