As he is set to embark on a seven-day tour of the state, newly appointed Gujarat BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma has planned an initiative under which he will receive registers and school textbooks instead of flowers or memento during his tour as a mark of felicitation.

The registers and school textbooks received will be distributed to needy students in the state. Vishwakarma is scheduled to start his seven-day tour across Gujarat from October 10 after offering prayers to Goddess Ambaji in Banaskantha district. According to a party statement, Vishwakarma will address six conventions of party workers across the state during his tour. It will conclude at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on October 17.

Three state-level leaders have been named as in-charge of Vishwakarma’s tour: The party’s co-spokesperson Rutvij Patel, Rajkot district in-charge Dhaval Dave and BJP MLA from Choryasi constituency Sandip Desai.
