Gujarat confidential: New Role

Former managing director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) RS Sodhi, whose abrupt ouster from the top job at the milk co-operative remained under a cloud, reportedly joined Reliance Retail in an advisory role. Sodhi is expected to further Reliance’s grocery business in his new role. When approached, Sodhi and the company remained tightlipped about the development. Sodhi’s resignation from GCMMF was “to safeguard the Amul brand”, sources had said then.

Foundation Day

The BJP will celebrate its foundation day on April 6 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address party workers across the country and party leaders, including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, will participate. As per the party office-bearers, the CM will be present at Rupal village of Gandhinagar. However, it is not certain if party state president CR Paatil will be present in Gujarat or not. Party general secretary Rajni Patel said, “Paatil saheb is perhaps in Delhi so, it has not been decided.”
