The museum spread over 13,525 sq m, which has nine thematic galleries showcasing art, architecture, trade, urban planning and language is also slated to be a centre of attraction at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for North Gujarat, according to the authorities. The event will be held in Mehsana on October 9-10. The VGRC will showcase India’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage while also highlighting the achievements of Gujarat tourism, a government statement said. The archaeological remains seen at a depth of 16 to 18 meters at the excavation site, spread over an area of 4,000 sq m, will showcase the remains found during the archaeological excavations of Vadnagar, stated the government release.
