The Archaeological Experiential Museum in Vadnagar inaugurated on January 16 this year and, opened for the public from February 1, has recorded 95,658 visitors from across the country till August 31, according to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) data. The museum spread over 13,525 sq m, which has nine thematic galleries showcasing art, architecture, trade, urban planning and language is also slated to be a centre of attraction at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for North Gujarat, according to the authorities. The event will be held in Mehsana on October 9-10. The VGRC will showcase India’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage while also highlighting the achievements of Gujarat tourism, a government statement said.
