Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was noticeably absent from the Gandhinagar Town Hall event, where Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched a national initiative to raise awareness about unclaimed financial assets. Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai, who launched the ‘Aapki Punji, Aapka Adhikar’ initiative with Nirmala Sitharaman, even announced the impending arrival of the CM, but he could not make it till the end as he was attending the ceremony of Jagdish Vishwakarma taking charges as the new BJP chief of Gujarat, at the party’s state headquarters just 10 km away.
