The Gokul Hospital in Rajkot will perform corrective surgeries for cleft lips and cleft palates between January 20 and January 23 for children and adults free of cost. The surgeries will be funded by Mission Smile, a nonprofit, in partnership with Muthoot Pappachan Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Muthoot Pappachan Group. “For the planned camp, we have started to organise cleft awareness campaigns in the districts of Gujarat through Muthoot FinCorp and Microfin Branches. Patients will get free transportation, food, accommodation, medical examination, surgery, and medicines. After the surgery, patients will be given free post-operative care as well,” Mission Smile said in an official release.
