The investigating officer,ASI Valsi Saburbhai, said: “The family of the deceased is very poor and it depended on his income. Parmar worked as a helper in construction works but was not getting any assignment for quite some time.”

Saburbhai said,“Poverty possibly led him to take the extreme step. But we are still investigating if he was fired from a job or if there was any other reason behind his suicide.”

The deceased’s body was sent for post-mortem to the Civil Hospital. The police have reported a case of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code and taken up further investigations.
