The erstwhile queen of Dharampur in Valsad district lodged a complaint of cheating against four persons including two lawyers,a builder and the caretaker, who had allegedly made fake documents and sold the land worth crores of rupees.
According to reports, one Dharmesh Dake was a caretaker of the ex-queens property and her ancestral land in Dharmapur as well as neighbouring areas.
Caretaker Dake reportedly contacted his lawyer friend Manoj Dashodi and hatched a plan of selling six acres of land in Kharvel and 12 acres of land in Dharmapur.
Dashodi later roped in his friend Sanjay Patel and made forged documents of both the land and sold it to a builder,Rajendrasinh Parmar of Dharmapur. Reportedly, the builder also knew about the land fraud.
Divyadevi Premsingh Burman (61),only daughter of late Dharampur king Sahdevji,is staying in Banglore with her family. She learnt about the cheating about two months ago and tried to contact the caretaker, but he could not be reached.
On June 7,Divyadevi finally lodged a complaint against the four in a police station nearby her residence in Banglore.
The complaint was later transferred to Dharampur police station from Banglore police.
District Superintendent of Police DB Vaghela said,We have started an investigation in this regard. We have also come to know that Divyadevi had not visited Dharmapur since 2008.
