Eight IAS officers,including Victor Macwan,director (ICDS),Commissionerate of Women and Child Development,Gandhinagar,have been transferred by the Gujarat government. Macwan has been appointed as the district development officer of Gandhinagar. Rajesh Manjhu,Commissioner of Youth Services & Cultural Activities,Gandhinagar,has been transferred and appointed as joint secretary to government (budget),finance department. He will also be holding additional charge of joint secretary to government (Bureau of Public Enterprises),finance department,until further notice. K D Kapadia,deputy secretary to government,social justice & Empowerment Department,has been transferred and appointed in place of Manjhu. Another important official to be transferred is D G Patel,secretary,Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. He has been appointed as Director (ICDS) in the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development.
