Dalit outfits oppose laser fountain in Vadodara park

Already facing opposition from a group of Barodians concerned about the heritage value of the Kamatibaug garden,the laser fountain project of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation is now being opposed by various Dalit groups who fear that the project would affect the Sankalp Bhumi,situated near the site where the laser fountain is proposed. Dalit outfits say it was at Sankalp Bhumi where Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar had taken a resolution to work for equality on September 23,1917.
