The police have interrogated Leela Baria, the wife of Limkheda taluka BJP secretary Ramanlal Baria in connection with the latters murder on Thursday. This comes after close relatives of the deceased alleged that Leela was having an extramarital affair. Elsewhere, senior police officers said the accused will be arrested in the next 48 hours as the mystery behind Barias death is now unfolding. They said Baria died in the early hours of Thursday of head injuries, and his wife had lodged a complaint at the Limkheda police station. It is not a political murder but some kind of family feud. We have interrogated his wife,Leela Rathwa, and other relatives also. At present,we cannot disclose any other detail, said Dahod Superintendent of Police Vipul Aggarwal. The investigating officer,Sub-Inspector M J Rathore said Ramanlals family and his wife Leela are at loggerheads and have been trading charges over his murder. We have interrogated Ramanlals wife and other members of the Baria family. It looks like a case of property dispute, said Rathore. According to the police,Baria was battered to death with an iron rod in his bedroom, while his wife was asleep. Prima facie evidence shows that the incident occurred due to a family dispute. The postmortem report shows that Baria died of head injury on the left side of the head, said Rahod. Baria was a farmer; there was a religious function of Dasama goddess in the nearby village of Vadiya on Wednesday night. He was invited for the installation of idol of the goddess at a temple there. There was no dispute of any kind. Rathod added. The officer further said that it is quite strange that Leela Baria was unaware about her husbands death. Barias motorcycle was set ablaze by the people who killed him. The deceaseds wife has stated that when she woke up,she noticed her husband bleeding and his motorcycle on fire. Besides,Barias four children were sleeping in the room next to his bedroom, Rathod said.
