The Dhoraji police arrested Kumar Hansalia,a resident of Rajkot,in connection with a cheating and fraud case registered by local industrialist Sudhir Padaliya.

According to the complaint,Hansalia took from Padaliya Rs 12 lakh towards the booking of Mahindra XUV-500 a month ago and disappeared.

According to police,Hansalia told them during the interrogation that he had duped many others similarly. fashion.

After Hansalia’s arrest,Rajkot city BJP leaders Rajbha Zala and Dr Siddharth Kaul rushed to the Dhoraji police station on Tuesday with similar complaints.

Police were to produce Hansalia in a local court on Tuesday evening to seek his custody.

The preliminary investigation revealed Hansalia had collected around Rs 2.6 crore by duping people in the name of booking SUVs,the police said.
