Even as the tensions between India and Pakistan had flared up, a few days ago, Malik had directed all the police teams to remain “on toes” and be ready to handle any critical situation.
To ensure the instructions are “obeyed adequately”, Malik on Friday night visited 11 police stations such as Krishnanagar, Naroda, Bapunagar, Rakhiyal, Gomatipur, Khokhra, Isanpur, Maninagar, Karanj, Gaikwad Haveli, and Ellisbridge, said officials.
Malik also inspected the station diary of each station and the staffers on duty, said officials.
He also supervised the security at the exit and entry points of the city, said sources. He later visited Ahmedabad city police control room.
