CM Patel: Under PM’s vision, govt can back businesses opting green energy in future
The CM made the remarks while addressing an annual meet of members of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

As he emphasised upon the need to divert businesses to green energy, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday underlined that the government — under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi — is moving ahead with a vision wherein it will be able to stand by the industries in meeting their needs.
The CM made the remarks while addressing an annual meet of members of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). “The government has such a vision that it can stand by you as you make progress…In the future, we will be able to stand by you with respect to green energy.”
“You will have to divert your businesses to green (energy). And at that time, the government will not say that we do not have any arrangement. This is the vision of the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi),” he underlined.
He further said, “As far as green energy is concerned, we are doing very good work. In the last Vibrant (Gujarat Global Summit), 50% of the total MOUs were done on green energy. We are moving ahead with a vision in green energy.” The CM also said that “along with business and employment, we need to be equally careful about the environment”. He also highlighted the importance of natural farming in this regard.
He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, the “government is progressing while taking everyone along”. He added that Gujarat has made rapid progress in various parameters like manufacturing output, startup ecosystem, financial management, and ease of doing business in the last 20 years. GCCI has been cooperating in all of that, he added.
The CM called upon the GCCI to make maximum contribution to the growth story of Gujarat in the process to achieve PM Modi’s resolve to make India a developed country by 2047.
