In a shocking incident,a class X student from Keshod died after she sustained burn injuries while making tea on a kerosene stove just before she was to receive the result of the exam that she passed.
According to Keshod Police,Mittal Chauhan (16),a resident of Aerodrome Road area,sustained severe injuries as the stove on which she was making tea burst on Thursday morning.
Mittal was first rushed to the government hospital in Keshod and was later shifted to Junagadh Civil Hospital,where she died,said police.
Mittal was a student of Sharda Vinay Mandir School in Keshod. According to her father Nanubhai Chauhan,a labourer,Mittal was confident of clearing her SSC exam with good per cent.
Later,it was found that Mittal had secured 63.54 per cent in the exam.
Student commits suicide
In a separate incident,Anil Sojitra,a student of Vasundhara Vidhyalaya in Jasdan town in Rajkot district,committed suicide after failing in the SSC exam.
Anil,on Thursday,the day of the result of the exam,had asked his father to bring the mark sheet from Rajkot. When Anil knew that he had failed,he consumed poison to end his life,said Jasdan Police.
