Bullet train work: 100-m stretch near Maninagar railway station to be closed for three months

The stretch will remain closed as rail track sections will be put up on the pillars erected for the bullet train, it added.

A 100-metre stretch of road outside Maninagar Railway Station in Ahmedabad will remain closed for traffic for a period of three months, said a notification from the Ahmedabad City Police on Wednesday. The closure is due to the construction work of High Speed Rail (Bullet Train), it added.

The notification from NN Chaudhary, the Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), Traffic, said that the stretch between Jagadiya bridge and Maninagar GRP police station will be closed for the next three months.

The stretch will remain closed as rail track sections will be put up on the pillars erected for the bullet train, it added.

The notification gave two alternate routes for traffic. The first one involves heading towards Jashodanagar Chowkdi from Bhairavnath road, Jaihind crossroads and Swaminarayan temple and then entering the railway station from the one way that is open for traffic. The other route includes heading from Kankaria Lake to Maninagar crossroads, LG Hospital up to the Gurudwara, and then turning towards the railway station or other roads.
